Antique French Silver Miniature Purse with Gryphons

A charming miniature purse with 4 gryphons on the clasp - this is a very unusual design. It has French hallmarks and measures 2 1/2” from the top of the clasp to the bottom of the dangles. With 2 compartments inside, this purse weighs 28.38 grams. This piece is European silver so has a slightly lower silver content than sterling.
