this amazing anchor was part of a Victorian lady’s chatelaine and is a needle case. It opens up and something, if not needles, was stored in it. The anchor also contains a cross and a heart symbolizing faith, love and charity. I converted it to a necklace by adding some more links to the chain that it was on originally. the chain closes with the original hook that attaches to a ring on the top of the key. the necklace measures 21 1/2 inches when worn. There are silver marks on the hook and on the key itself. The key is 4 inches long and it weighs 20.76g. English.
